Lord Honey, A good ol' fashioned, warm molasses cookie has always been a favorite in my family. I remember how much my Aunt loved 'em. I'm so happy to share one of my favorites with y'all--- and hopefully, my "Molasses Crinkle Cookies" will become a family favorite with y'all.
Molasses Crinkle Cookies

Makes 24
Ingredients:
½-cup butter, melted
¼-cup shortening, melted
1-cup white sugar
¼-cup molasses
2-tsp vanilla
1-egg
2-tsp baking soda
½-tsp ground cloves
½-tsp ground ginger
1-tsp cinnamon
½-tsp salt
2-cups all-purpose flour
Directions:
· Place the melted butter and shortening into a mixing bowl; mix in the sugar, molasses, vanilla and egg.
· In another bowl, whisk together the soda, spices, salt and flour. Add half to the molasses mixture, and stir to combine, then add the rest of the flour mixture; stir until combined, and place in a bowl, cover and place in the fridge for 1 hour or overnight.
· When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350°, Place some white sugar into a small bowl. Scoop balls of cookie dough using a 1 ounce cookie scoop and roll the cookie ball in the sugar. Place on a sprayed baking sheet.
· Bake for 8 mins, NO LONGER.
· Remove and let cool for a few minutes before removing and placing on a rack until cooled.
Tip: You will probably want to double this recipe to have plenty for everyone.
