Tipsy Brownies

Lord Honey, there ain’t nothin' better than a fudgy, chocolate brownie--except maybe for my "Tipsy Brownie". This is a great dessert to offer your guests for a special occasion or a simple snack.

Tipsy Brownies

Jason Smith, FNS

1-box fudge brownie mix

1/2-cup bacon grease or vegetable oil

1/4-cup beer

3-tsp vanilla

1-cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2-cup peanut butter chips

Caramel Sauce:

2-cups of your favorite caramel sauce

1/8-cup beer

Chopped Pecans

  • Preheat oven to 350, spray an 8x8 baking pan.

  • In a mixing bowl, place the brownie ingredients, mix until combined; pour into prepared pan.

  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, until toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

  • Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate and peanut butter chips evenly, over the top; return to oven for 5 minutes; remove and spread the melted chips over the top to cover.

  • In a small bowl, whisk the caramel and beer, until combined.

  • Pour caramel sauce over brownie and garnish with pecans.
